Over £1,500 was raised for local charities at this year’s annual  “dawn chorus” Charity Golf event. The event, organised by Neil Glover, on behalf of  Middesbrough Erimus Rotary Club, took place very early in the morning of Wednesday 12 July at Middlesbrough Golf Club.

16 teams of four participated in the event. Congratulations go to Nigel Carr’s team which won the event with a score of 86 points. The golf was followed by a well deserved breakfast in the club house. Players paid an entry fee to participate. The club is also grateful to the two sponsors of the event, The Cleveland Cable Company, and Mick Davidge.

The final profit from the event was £1,516.80. Half of this will be donated to Middlesbrough Golf Club Captains charity, Zoe,s Place and half to local Rotary Charities .
